Hello, I'm Sonya Gray.

About the name Abstinence Is Sexy: The story behind it is I truly believe purity, chastity, virginity and the people who live this lifestyle everyday are sexy. To me, there's nothing sexier.

I live, breathe, and eat total abstinence until marriage daily. After my faith, it is one of the most important aspects of my life.

It's no secret how much I enjoy writing about people who constantly prove the haters wrong. What they have proven is abstinence works, virginity is doable, and it is worth the effort to pursue them.

This site has allowed me the opportunity to meet people who thrive as they embrace abstinence.

How cool is that?

With no real college degree to speak of on this subject, staying pure for more than three years straight has been my ivy league school of choice.

I'm a regular person, just like you, who believes personal experience is the best teacher. This website wouldn't be possible unless I actually embraced abstinence everyday.

Which is why I consider myself a self-proclaimed Abstinence Advocate.

Since becoming sold out to this unconventional way of life, I have never experienced anything that has transformed my life for the good in such a dramatic fashion.

A sense of confidence and empowerment has blossomed within me and it's sure sweet!

It has made me a better Christian, a better sister, a better niece, a better friend. The changes were subtle over time. But when I look back to who I was then to who I am today, I notice the difference - big time.

I can't promise you the same experience. What I can tell you is it's not a dream, a fairytale, or part of my vivid imagination.

Abstinence is REAL. Embracing it has opened up new doors that I didn't believe I could ever walk through.

There's one thing you should know about me. I won't endorse anything or anyone that doesn't bring value to my life, or to the lives of others.

Well, abstinence has done just that and a whole lot more.

As you read the articles on my site, you will get a sense of why I'm so passionate about this lifestyle.

You'll find, as you get to know and trust me, that I would love for every unmarried single person to achieve the same results I have achieved - without the headaches and the heartbreak.

That was the catalyst for building this site: helping people to not make the same mistakes I have made.
